Shakti is the universal divine feminine energy, the primal force that underlies all creation, preservation, and destruction in the universe. As the essence of life, Shakti is revered as the source of all power and creativity. Among her many manifestations, Goddess Lalitha, often referred to as Lalitha Tripurasundari, stands out as the divine embodiment of grace, strength, and wisdom. Her qualities have not only inspired me personally but have also shaped the core principles of the Art to Heart Institute.
Lalitha is often revered as the epitome of creative energy and transformation. Her ability to manifest beauty and harmony out of chaos resonates deeply with my vision for the Institute. Our mission is to reveal a realm within the chaotic world of individuals where creativity perseveres. We aim to cultivate an artistic community that continuously explores new horizons, propelling art to new heights of excellence. Through our focus on development, appreciation, and wellness through art, we seek to nurture profound appreciation for the arts while championing holistic well-being. Just as Lalitha orchestrates the cosmos with precision and care, I aspire to create an environment where these three goals intertwine to foster holistic development.
Growing up chanting the Lalitha Sahasranama and immersing myself in the rich traditions of Hindu spirituality, I was always in awe of the incomparable qualities of Lalitha Devi. This spiritual foundation, coupled with my observations of the strong women in my life who have overcome significant challenges in pursuit of their dreams, has deeply influenced my entrepreneurial spirit. These influences have led me to channel my knowledge, experience, and passion for the performing arts into the creation of the Art to Heart Institute.
The Lalitha Sahasranama, a revered hymn, describes the thousand names and attributes of Goddess Lalitha. Each name reflects her multifaceted personality and divine qualities. She is celebrated as Tripura Sundari, the beautiful one who transcends the three worlds, symbolizing her supreme creative power and unparalleled beauty. Similarly, the name Vidya Rupa highlights her as the embodiment of knowledge and wisdom. One particularly inspiring line from the hymn describes Lalitha as the embodiment of the three fundamental energies: Icha Shakti (the power of will), Kriya Shakti (the power of action), and Gyana Shakti (the power of knowledge). These three energies are the essential forces behind all creation, sustenance, and dissolution in the universe, making her the ultimate source of all cosmic activities.
In the Devi Bhagavata Purana, Lalitha is depicted as a supreme warrior, embodying unwavering strength and determination. She fearlessly confronts challenges and overcomes obstacles with grace, serving as a powerful symbol of empowerment. These qualities are essential in modern entrepreneurship, where resilience, adaptability, and the ability to navigate challenges are key to success. Lalitha’s strength inspires me to lead with courage and a positive outlook, embracing every challenge as an opportunity for growth.
The Tantra Shastra highlights Lalitha as the embodiment of Chitshakti, or pure consciousness, which manifests in the world through various forms of art and expression. According to these ancient teachings, Lalitha's divine energy is believed to be present in all creative endeavors—whether it's music, dance, rhythm, or architecture. These arts are seen as channels through which the divine can be experienced and expressed. Inspired by this concept, the Art to Heart Institute aims to harness the transformative power of creative expression. By fostering a deep connection to the arts, we encourage individuals to explore their inner potential, much like Lalitha's energy permeates the universe, bringing harmony and beauty to all aspects of life.
Moreover, modern entrepreneurship requires a balance of innovation, empathy, and wisdom—qualities that Lalitha embodies as Vidya Rupa and Sree Mataa (Divine Mother). Her nurturing nature and compassionate guidance are essential in creating a supportive and enriching community. Through the Art to Heart Institute, we strive to offer a space where individuals can explore their creative potential and grow in a nurturing environment, just as Lalitha nurtures her devotees with infinite love and care.
In essence, the divine attributes of Goddess Lalitha—creativity, strength, wisdom, and compassion—have been the driving forces behind the conception and growth of the Art to Heart Institute. Her influence continues to inspire me to lead with purpose and dedication, ensuring that the Institute remains a beacon of creativity and well-being, much like Lalitha herself, who guides the cosmos with her divine energy.
